He offered her candle lights-
(Aromatic essences for the soul)
Through an ambiance of love abiding;
Dining at a table for two;
Cloaked with the finest linens; …A damask alabastrine gilded fabric
made with canopy ribbed inlays…
There were aurulent draperies
embracing vintage stone walls
upon the walnut sculpt window sills.
A woman with beautiful hazel nut eyes
played romance
upon an Alma-Tedema Steinway.
She wore a Victorian ivorene mantilla
in her braided hair.
Her voice was that of angelic harmonies,
as another woman began to play romantic sonatas
upon a polished Stradivarius…
Nassarius snail porridge is served in bone china.
Reef scavengers can be heard
while listening to the conk shells of the sea;
…as the waiter offers them jelly of quail
made with langoustine and oysters…
…they are then offered
passion fruit jellies with lavender
portioned upon the remaining shell.
Serving slow braised lambs tongue
dressed delicately with turnips and pancetta.
Large river prawns are dipped into garlic butters
as nephrops norvegicus scampi are broiled
to open flames…
…as they both sip upon desirous appetites
their melodic dance of love kisses
the intimacies of their hearts-
Just as the violet tartlets behold their pallets
served upon sweet edible paper cups…
In Joy, In Peace, In Grace, In Harmony of Love
Love’s Bounty Embracing Unisons of Truth

The
title alone is a complete grabber, Vickie, and the rest is equal to
it...aurulent draperies...musical instruments..jelly of quail...seafood
and violet tartlets...all is opulent, exotic flooding of the occasion
and spirit.
